Open Question: Can you tell me if there's something wrong with my dad?

Sorry this story might take up a lot of your time. Okay. My dad three or four years ago wasn't like he is now. Back then, he always made jokes and bought my mother bouquets of flowers on her birthday and chocolates. He used to enjoy watching cartoons with me and my siblings. He even chose to work at home because he wanted to be with us. My older sister was somehow a pain in the butt to him. She always lied to him because, well, if she didn't lie he wouldn't allow her to do things. So, he became all paranoid. He always was suspicious of my sister and always thought she was lieing to him. Well, my mom always tries to take my sister's side because she wants to protect her. My dad loses his temper easily. Slapping your defenseless child doesn't affect him. Anyways, now my sister is in college. And now, EVERYTHING gets on my dad's nerves. He doesn't buy my mom bouquets anymore, he doesn't even sleep in the same bed as her. He sleeps on the couch. He orders us around. Especially my mom. My mom cooks him dinner, and he NEVER says thank you. He even criticizes her sometimes. Every day there's an argument. One minute he's yelling at my mom for not ironing his shirt right, the next he's ordering my mom to make him fish and a salad because he's gaining weight. My mom had already cooked a dinner, but that doesn't matter to him. He also thinks my sister (who never has done ANYTHING wrong in her life) is always lieing to him. Maybe she reminds him of my other sister. Also, if we don't get all A's, he hits us. The least he does yells at us. He takes away our possessions. My mom tries to protect us, and he hits her. *Also, he was born in Lebanon. In Lebanon, all men are treated like princes and women are nothing. His dad was worse then he is now. Is he gradually becoming like his dad? I'm concerned. Anyone have any ideas? I want this to stop.

Open Question: Should a guy bring flowers for the girl on their first date?

Is this just a cheesy move or do girls really dig that kinda stuff? Also if you think yes - should the flowers be something like a summer bouquet or a (full on) dozen roses?

Open Question: what's the name of this flower?

a friend of mine just had a wedding in Poland and she brought me the pics. The wedding bouquet she had was so beautiful and unique. It's made of just one type of flower, but I have not been able to find the name of the flower. I can't put the pic here on the question, but I will do my best describing it: the flowers are single, white, with slightly green center. The shape of the petals are very similar to that of the daffodils(single) but the center looks like that of an tropical orchid, with light green color dabbed around. Thanks in advance for your answers no, guys, this flower has stems that sort of look like that of "4 o'clock, and the center is not yellow, it's light green.

Resolved Question: Viewing flower etiquette.?

One of my close friends passed away recently, and the viewing will be tomorrow. I want to take flowers, but I don't know if a bouquet would be proper etiquette for a viewing. I would rather take a spray or wreath, but I do not know what would be better. My friend was 18 years-old and female. Also, I printed out 3 copies of a photo where I'm with her. Would it be appropriate to give one copy to the mother? I was also thinking of putting one in the casket during the funeral (at the time where people throw roses). Would that be okay or would it be too much? Thank you for your responses

I live in California, and I am unfamiliar with doing these kinds of things, simply because I have never done it before...Lol. I very much want to send a special someone a bouquet of flowers, and have them in their possession by a certain date this month. How do I go about doing this?

I am getting married April 2011. I am having eight bridesmaid and eight groomsmen. There are three fathers, four mothers, five grandmothers, my bouquet and a throw away bouquet.
